I recently bought a table and chairs from Facebook Marketplace. We had to go pick it up. It took two additional people but we got it in my car. Then we had to figure out where Duke was going to ride since his backseat was taken! So he rode in the front seat. At least we were only 3 miles from home otherwise I would not have liked this solution.

When I had Duke jump in the car, he looked at me, standing awkwardly in the front seat. I could tell by his face that he thought “this isn’t where I ride, Mom!” I told him to lay down and he did great on the ride home. When I let him out of the car, he jumped out, very happy that he was done riding in that tiny seat!

He definitely prefers the entire back seat when riding in the car! It’s always a tussle when Snook rides with him. It doesn’t matter who gets in the car first – they either get twisted up in their seatbelts or Duke takes the middle and smashes Snook up against the door/window. Then I get the “Mom! Duke is in my spot!” look from Snook. Although, Snook had the upper hand on our way home from Florida because Snook laid on top of Duke and they both slept most of the way home…
